Innovation is to develop different, new ideas and apply them. These ideas are developed to solve the problems that were not solved before or to fulfill the needs that were not fullfilled before. Making innovation is to actualize these ideas, to produce product, service or business manners and after to sell the product and services, apply those business manners.
The most important goal is to create innovation culture for development of countries and societies, increase in welfare level. According to World Economic Forum, North European countries,especially Finland, are the leader countries with their competetion power as a result of their investment o Innovation and education.
How is Innovation culture created? Goverments should provide sources for education and research as in the example of Finland. They should support legal infrastructure Innovation. Finland has decreased unemployement ratio from 25% to almost zero, increaese GDP from 10.000 USD to 29-30.000 UDS with rationalist Innovation Policies.
Creating Innovation culture is one of the most important topics along with invesment of infrastructre. You can imagine how difficult it is to change a culture. Changing beliefs and behaviours is a lot harden than investment and source. The most important factor about creating this culture; creating a free environment where differences can be expressed. The need to think different and be different which created Innovation, make corporations to change their understanding of language, religion, nationality and sex. It is necesseray to include differences in roder to understand needs. Now, corporations make diversity as a part of their strategic plan.
Another important factor is to create a collaboration for using the collective intelligence. A radical change in perspective of leaders and employees is necessary for changing the culture from culture depended on competetion of individuals to the culture that includes collaboration environment. Now, collaboration and communication environment, working with values became a must for icreasing the performance with the involvement of the new generation to business life.
Innovation changes our management culture not just production and marketing processes. It changes them for development and for a sustainable world. It reminds us our values and make us define management culture all over again.
